SBA Loans

 

Perennial Bank is a registered lender with the Small Business Association (SBA). The SBA is a government agency that was created to help promote and bolster the U.S. economy by  providing assistance to small businesses. SBA provides counseling and aid to individuals trying to start or grow their business. SBA has a variety of loan programs that they offer.

 

Payroll Protection Program (PPP) is the newest loan program just passed into law with the CARES Act. Small businesses and Sole proprietors can apply for a loan as early as April 3rd others including independent contractors and self-employed individuals will have to wait until April 10th. This loan program will expire June 30th, 2020. A portion of the loan proceeds could be eligible for forgiveness if those funds are used for appropriate expenses. The 7(a) loan  program is the SBA’s primary guaranteed loan program. Proceeds can be used for expansion, renovation, vacant land, building purchases, start-up costs, equipment, working capital, and inventory. 

 

SBA’s Economic Injury Disaster Loan (EIDL) program is a direct loan through the SBA.  EIDL loans provide businesses with working capital loans of up to $2 million that can provide vital economic support to small businesses to help overcome the temporary loss of revenue they are experiencing.
