Josh Johnson
darwin Branch Manager
Josh is a longtime community banker whose history with the Darwin bank goes back 30 years, getting his start as a summer teller while in high school. After graduating from St. Cloud State University in 2001, he began his full-time career as a cashier and has served as bank president since 2016. He is active in all aspects of the bank, but what he enjoys most are the daily interactions and relationships he has with customers, community members, and coworkers.
Josh believes deeply in giving back to his community. He is currently serving his eighth term as the Mayor of Darwin and stays involved with numerous local groups. He serves as president of the All Saints Lutheran Church Council, treasurer for the Darwin Community Legacy Foundation, and is a member and past president of the Darwin Lions. He also pitches in as a Darwin Community Club member, a Twine Ball museum volunteer, chair of the Dassel Fire Advisory Board, and treasurer for the Charger Robotics Club. You can often find him at local events, whether he’s helping on the Twine Ball Day committee or just “schlepping chicken” for Red Rooster Days. He also volunteers time to support the banking industry by serving on the Minnesota Bankers Association board, Government Relations Council, and the American Bankers Association’s Community Bankers Council.
When he’s not at the bank or a meeting, Josh enjoys running, hiking, golfing, Minnesota sports, working on landscaping projects, and playing cards. He especially loves spending time with his wife, Jen, and their two boys, whether it’s traveling, working outdoors, enjoying a day on Lake Stella, or (most of all) watching the boys compete in their school activities.
