Simple steps to transitioning your account to Perennial Bank
At Perennial Bank, we offer the same great products and services you’d expect from a big bank, but with the personal service and hometown care only a local community bank can provide. When you choose Perennial Bank, you’re choosing a partner that truly knows you, values your business, and is committed to making your banking experience smooth and stress-free.
_____
When you’re ready to make the switch to Perennial Bank, follow the steps below, call or visit any of our branches, and we’ll take care of you from there.
Step 1 - Open An Account With Us
Stop by any Perennial Bank branch of your choice and our team will help you establish your new account(s) with us. If it’s more convenient, please feel free to call us to get the process started. We’ll help you find the best accounts and services for your needs.
Step 2 - Get Organized
Use our Transaction List to organize your transactions (for example: utilities, loan payments, and subscriptions) that will be switched to your new Perennial Bank account(s).
Step 3 - Transfer Your Direct Deposits
To transfer your direct deposits, send the Direct Deposit Authorization Form to your employer and any other sources so your funds can be automatically deposited into your Perennial Bank account. Please contact your employer’s payroll department if you have questions about their process.
If you’ll be receiving social security or VA deposits, we can switch those for you!
Step 4 - Transfer Your Automatic Payments
Use our Automatic Payment Authorization Form to request the transfer of your automatic payment(s) or to establish a new automatic payment from your new Perennial Bank account. Please allow sufficient time for your first payments to be activated.
Step 5 - Close Your Old Account(s)
Use the Account Closing Letter to request your previous financial institution to close your account(s) and send the money to your address on file with them. Prior to closing those accounts, ask them if there are any fees associated with closing them. Make sure all of your checks and debits have cleared BEFORE you close your old account. We can also transfer your remaining balance here automatically if you prefer that option.
