At Perennial Bank, your account security is our priority and we want to make sure using your debit card is as safe and convenient as possible. To strengthen our existing fraud monitoring, we offer a text-based debit card fraud monitoring system that can detect unusual activity and ask you to confirm transactions to help ensure you made the purchase. You will be automatically enrolled when you set up your debit card.
How it works:
- Initial contact is a text message. If suspicious activity is detected, SHAZAM first sends a text alert to your mobile number.
- Simple “Yes” or “No” reply. The text will ask you to reply “Yes” to confirm a transaction or “No” to deny it.
- Follow-up process. If you reply “No,” the debit card is automatically blocked and a SHAZAM fraud specialist will call you soon to assist further.
- Follow-up phone call. If you don’t respond to the text, SHAZAM may follow up with an automated voice call to the phone number on file.
How to sign up:
- If we have your mobile phone number on file, no action or enrollment is required.
- If you would like us to verify or update your mobile phone number, please contact your local branch.
